Throughout the fiscal year, Installation Program Managers (IPMs) may find that appropriated funds are not adequate to fund all requirements. It is sometimes possible to find additional sources of funding if an IPM knows the procedures to follow and the best ways to achieve funding success. As an IPM you need to find ways to prioritize, handle, and mitigate the impact of Unfunded Requirements (UFRs).

Objectives:

  • DEFINE Unfunded Requirements (UFRs)
  • IDENTIFY the possible funding sources available to Installation Program Managers (IPMs)
  • RECOGNIZE the Unfunded Requirements (UFRs) prioritized categories
  • DEFINE latest obligation date
  • WRITE an Impact Statement
  • IDENTIFY elements needed to support a Justification Statement
  • WRITE a Mitigation Plan
  • RECOGNIZE the purpose of a rolling list of Unfunded Requirements (UFRs)
